Page Hierarchy
The site only used the WordPress "Page" content type, don't create any "Posts".
The site hierarchy is controlled via the "Page Attributes", "Parent" select list which is in the right hand column of the page editor.
The site hierarchy can be seen in the "PAGES" list of pages at the top of the right hand column of pages:

If you need to change the order of items in the site hierarchy you can use the "Order" box which is just below the "Parent" select list.
The lowest numbered child pages come first in the site hierarchy.
Moving a Pages from the Gallery to the Archive
To move a page from the Gallery section to the Archive simply change the "Parent" page on the page you want to move.
Editing the Notice Board
Login and then click "Customise".
Then click "Widgets".
Then click "Sidebar".
Then click "Notice Board" and edit the text and then click "Save & Publish".
Creating Pages
Login and from the top admin navigation menu click "+ New" and then "Page" (Posts are not used on this site).
Enter a "Title" for the page where it says "Enter title here".
Go to the "Page Attributes" menu on the right and select a "Parent" for the new page.
Go to the "Featured Image" box and click "Set featured image".
Select (or upload) an image for the top of the page, which will also be used as a thumbnail on the parent page.
Add some text to the page.
Add a thumbnail, click "Add Media".
Select an image, check the Alignment and Size and then click "Insert into page".
Save a draft of the page by clicking "Save Draft".
Check the "Permalink", this is the URL of the page, it has to be unique, and then click "Preview page" to check it looks OK.
Click "Edit Page" in the top navigation menu.
Edit the page as needs be and then click "Publish".
Then click "View page" so see the result.
Making a thumbnail a link
To make a thumbnail image a link first click on the image and then the edit icon, as shown below.
Then on the Image Details page select Link To, Media File as shown below.
