Notes on the use of the Webarchitects WordPress Blog, if your question isn't answered below then please ask for help on the forum.

Account Creation

The Webarchitects Members Discourse forum is set to be a single sign-on server for the WordPress blog, this means that once you have an account on the Discourse forum and you are logged in, you can click through to the blog login page and click the Log in with Discourse link:

If you don't have an account this will create one for you and log you in and if you have an account it will log you in.

Writing Posts

Anyone with an account can create Posts (blog articles), however only Editors and Administrators can publish these, if you have an article you have drafted that is ready to be published please contact an Editor or Administrator to ask them to check and publish it.

Publishing Posts

The key thing for Editors and Administrators to remember when they publish Posts is to set the Author to blog in the right hand column of the Gutenberg Post editor:

If this isn't done then the Post will not be published to Discourse.

Since all Posts will have the Author set to blog it is suggested that a byline is added as a block to the end of each article to indicate who wrote it, this can be separated from the article with an horizontal rule, for example:

Commenting on Posts

Replies to the copies of the blog Posts on the Discourse forum will be displayed at the bottom of each Post, for example see the first Post.
