Some of my Ecohost Email doesn't get through

This is often caused by misconfigured MX DNS records (the domain name system entries which say where email should be sent for your domain).

When setting up the DNS records for your domain for Ecohost Email at http://domains.ecohost.coop/ it is important to delete the default MX records:

 100 us2.mx1.mailhostbox.com.
 100 us2.mx3.mailhostbox.com.
 100 us2.mx2.mailhostbox.com.

If you don't you will end up with the MX set for you domain like this:

 10 mail1.ecohost.coop.
 100 us2.mx1.mailhostbox.com.
 100 us2.mx3.mailhostbox.com.
 100 us2.mx2.mailhostbox.com.

And this means that if for some reason (a temp high load for example) mail1.ecohost.coop is busy then email will be delivered to one of the other servers, they might reject the email or accept it, if they reject it then a redelivery attempt to mail1.ecohost.coop should be made and your mail will simply be delayed, if they accept the email and you don't loigin to collect email from there then you will have, in effect lost the email.
